A forklift operator resume needs more than a license. Employers also look for safe work habits, accurate material handling, equipment checks, and teamwork. Choose skills that match the equipment and duties in the job posting.
Only include equipment you have used or have been trained to use.
Use action verbs and add a number only when you know it is correct.
Avoid vague lines such as “Responsible for forklift.” They do not show what you actually did.
Put a current forklift certification in a Certifications section near your skills. Include the training provider or employer program when useful. Do not describe an expired certification as current. If you are still training, say so clearly.
Compare your resume with each posting. A distribution center may emphasize reach trucks and inventory systems; a shipping role may emphasize trailer loading and dock safety. See our Forklift Operator Resume Example for a complete layout.
